Assignment 2

1. I set the stage with the required size 320px X 240px with a frame rate of 24FPS (frames per second).

 

2. For the background, I used a picture and made it fade from black at the starting, but first I had to put a black box equal to the size o the stage. I made this by using the color effects alpha and setting the opacity of the black box firstly from 100 to 0.

 

 

3. As for the children, I traced them from Adobe Illustrater and made them as sillhouettes.

 

4. I used classic tween to make the boy move smoothly from out of the stage and in to it . I repeated this step with girl 1 and girl 2.

 2. For the text, I use text tool(T). I also used the same step as the children to move these texts by applying classic tween.

4. For the text UNITED, I used masking from illustrater to make the Malaysian flag blend into the text. When I transfered it into flash, I made it fade out by using the color effects and setting the alpha from 0-100.

5. For the menara KLCC and menara Kluala Lumpur, I used the 3d rotation tool(Q)  to make it look as it popped out from the text united with a 3D effect.

 

6. Lastly, I made the stage fade to black  by using again the color effectfor the black box by setting the alpha from 0-100.

Adding other photos

                

1. I took some photos and insertes it in the wallpaper.  I added a water splash and a boy with a water gun first. I used masking to clean it up and get the boy only without its original background.

2.   I wanted to make the water coming out of the water gun, so I liquefied it to be more thinner.

3.  Then I made it as if the water came out from the water gun.

4.  Then,  used the same technique(masking)  for the other photos

5.    Imade the water from the water gun turn into a word, songkran. I did this by liquefying the water one by one.

6.    I adjusted all the colors of the characters so it could blend with the background.

I used sepia photo filter to do it.

7.   Lastly I added a small typo at the wallpaper with the writing water festival Thailand so people will know this festival because it is not commonly known.

Assignment - Background

1. I took a background of a street to show were people are playing with water during the songkran water 

    festival.

2.  I changed the tone of the background into sephia by using photo filter.

3. I adjusted the brightness and contrast of the background.

4. Then I used burn tool to darken the sky.

Songkran Festival

 For computer graphics 2 class, we have to make a wallpaper of any festival for our individual assignment.  So, I decided to make a wallpaper of the songkran festival.

Songkran festival (Thai: สงกรานต์, from  sanskrant, "astrological passage") is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year's Day from 13 to 15 April.Songkran falls in the hottest time of the year in Thailand, at the end of the dry season.The most obvious celebration of Songkran is the throwing of water. Thais roam the streets with containers of water or water guns (sometimes mixed with mentholated talc), or post themselves at the side of roads with a garden hose and drench each other and passersby. This, however, was not always the main activity of this festival. Songkran was traditionally a time to visit and pay respects to elders, including family members, friends and neighbors.

Photo Editing

This photo was edited using photoshop as I learned new things about photoshop.

1.

I added a new layer to make my work easier, so that i can adjust or remove any layer adjustments.

I adjusted the curve for the brightness of the photo.

Then, i adjusted the color balance for the highlight, shadow and midtone of the photo.

Thats what I have learned in photoshop, and will continue learning other things about photoshop.

What is Photoshop?

This semester, we have to learn photoshop which is a graphic editing program. Photoshop is something new to me and I will slowly learn all the tools in photoshop.

Advantages of using Photoshop are:-
im able to manipulate pictures
adjust my colors on my photograpghs
do correction for my images
